Although our bathroom is not the oldest and can hold its own in a rustic sort of way, I long for the day when we can give it a little bit of love and attention, so the main focus point moves away from the bath toys and is instead shifted to something more eye-pleasing altogether.
When thinking about a new bathroom ideas, there are lots of things to consider. However, I firmly believe that just because you have a family bestowing havoc on your house (and bathroom!) that while of course it should be functional and practical, a bathroom should still offer a slice of serenity and peace, whilst also being an expression of your own personal tastes, style and creativity.
Once you’ve accounted for what is practically possible in your bathroom space by getting the dimensions, conditions and overall style of the rest of the house, and thought about what exactly what you hope to achieve from their bathroom space it’s time to do a bit of virtual window shopping! A fantastic place to get inspiration about bathroom designs and ideas to your heart’s content is homify an online platform featuring home ideas and inspiration, interior design, architecture, diy projects and tips for every room.
I am already drooling with bathroom envy at some of the bathrooms of my dreams on their website, but thankfully the practical advice it comes with on how to plan the perfect bathroom is ensuring that I keep my head on my shoulders whilst it is constantly being distracted by tantalizing bathroom designs.
From modern to classic, and eclectic to minimalist, there are so many bathroom ideas to draw inspiration from in their bathroom section. Here are just a few of my favourites:

What is great about ogling the thousands of bathrooms on homify is that when you see a bathroom you like, you can save the photo to an ideabook, which is like a virtual scrapbook where you can store and collect ideas. You also add notes so you can remind yourself what you liked about that particular image. This is the perfect way of finding trends in your likes – for example..it is obvious from the above that I am a tad obsessed with tiles – and that helps to give you a good focal point with which to work with.
If you’re thinking about revamping your bathroom, or indeed any other room in your house, I would strongly recommend making a date with homify and a glass of wine, to open up your mind to a whole other world of eye-popping design ideas.
