REVIEW: purepotions Skin Salvation natural skincare range

purepotions Skin Salvation

It has to be said….if there’s one thing that motherhood hasn’t knocked out of me it’s my militancy in looking after my skin. I’ve talked about before on the blog how I prefer to use natural skin care although this is not a hard and fast rule. But when it comes to natural skin care, not all ranges are equal, and every now and then a natural skin care range comes along and I think YES! And recently, that was purepotion‘s Skin Salvation range.

I was recently sent some items from their range to try – namely their Bath and Body Emollient Oil, Intensive Hand Cream, Intensive Lip Balm and Lemon Myrtle Deodorant.

The whole range is developed on the foundation of the fact that they are naturally rich in EFAs (essential fatty acids), thereby providing intensive hydration, fragrance and preservative free (just lovely natural herbal fragrances!), free from harmful chemicals, 100% natural making it suitable for those who may be prone to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, skin rash and any sore skin condition and also suitable for all ages.

My big love from the range has been the Bath and Body Emollient Oil which I have been slathering my whole body with the minute I get out of the shower has been a hero at replenishing moisture lost post-shower. Don’t be freaked out though – it’s fast absorbing and incredibly ungreasy so much so that is can also be used as a facial cleanser, a massage oil or a shaving oil.

I’ve also fallen in love with their Lemon Myrtle deodorant which has a deliciously fresh, herbal scent, and is 99% natural so hurrah! contains no aluminium, parabens, triclosan or phthalates.  It has really been a star in keeping my armpits absolutely odour free all day.

And as an ongoing sufferer of dry hands, their Intensive Hand Cream has been a saviour of mine day in day out turning them from shambolic dry, cracked pathetic excuses for hands to healthy looking ones I’m proud to call my own within one application.

And for those looking for a natural lip balm to soothe their lips back into tip top condition, their Intensive Lip balm is the perfect partner in crime to keep your lips looking luscious without the need to use any nasties on them.

Overall I’ve been really impressed with the quality and ingredients of the range, and its ability to do exactly what it say on the tin. I’m looking for to checking out the rest of the range and have currently got my eye on their Daily Moisturizing Cream and Scalp Oil.

Prices start at £4.99 and I should mention they have a very reasonable sample pack of three items for £5 which is definitely a good way to dip your toe in the water with this range.

  1. I’m ashamed to admit that being a Mum has led me to neglect my skincare, unlike you. But, that said, when I do play catch up, I like to use good quality products. I like getting new recommendations, so it is nice to see these products. The price range is really good, and the ingredients sound interesting and enticing.
