Lots of fun Christmas activities for children over at Puffin! #ad

Christmas activities for childrena

Well there’s no denying it…it’s most certainly starting to feel like Christmas is coming – woo hoo! And in my house, and probably yours, that means a chance to get the kiddos involved in lots of fab Christmas activities.

A fab place to start is with the good folks over at Puffin Books, who have lots of fun and festive activities over on their website here, of which we had a stab at sending a Christmasaurus Santa letter.

But what is the Christmasaurus…?! I hear you all ask. This Christmas – the book on everyone’s lips is Tom Fletcher’s The Christmasaurus, a story about a boy named William Trundle, and a dinosaur, the Christmasaurus. It’s about how they meet one Christmas Eve and have a magical adventure. It’s about friendship and families, sleigh bells and Santa, singing elves and flying reindeer, music and magic. It’s about discovering your heart’s true desire, and learning that the impossible might just be possible . . .

Basically, the perfect Christmas book (of which you can win a copy down below).

The activity is lovely, simple and heart warming, and the perfect thing to get everyone in the Christmas spirit (if you’re not already!), we downloaded this free and fun template inspired by The Christmasaurus to let it be known by Santa what was on the list of wishes and agenda for Christmas this year by filling in the gaps with want the big S needed to know.

*Be warned – rare appearance of Mr C in above picture!

Namely – a ship for the sproglet (hopefully not a full sizes one!), a massage for mum, some carrots for the reindeer and confessions that a certain pint sized person had apparently been nice (not naughty!) all year – aherm…a little bit of poetic license applied there me thinks!

Christmas activities for children

Writing a letter to Santa really should be at the top of Christmas activities for children, and this lovely Christmasaurus take is perfect for both Christmas and dinosaur lovers alike, giving everyone involved that lovely fuzzy Christmassy feeling.

So what are you waiting for? Stop fiddle-faddling and download your Christmasaurus Santa letter here!

***COMPETITION: For a chance to win a copy of The Christmasaurus simply tweet your Santa letter once completed tagging myself at @motherhoodreal with the hashtag #PuffinChristmas to win your own copy.***
