Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales review

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales

It was a dreary half term Tuesday – a total washout by all accounts. But there was something that came along and cheered us no end that rain soaked day…a trip to Richmond Theatre to see the utterly delightful Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales!

Adapted from the bestselling and much loved books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Tiddler and other Terrific Tales weaves together four of our favourite stories by the dynamic duo.

Let me tell you now – this show will charm your socks off. It’s not just that it takes you on a joyous journey under the sea, out on the farm and into the jungle – think Tiddler, Monkey Puzzle, The Smartest Giant in Town and A Squash and a Squeeze – but the way it does it.

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales

Using oodles of imagination and spades of funky moves and toe tapping tunes; with live music, puppetry and a whole host of colourful characters from the best-loved titles this is heart-warming, giggle-inducing family theatre at its best.

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales

Produced by the newly founded Freckle Productions, whose mission is to put on shows that are both vigorous and challenging; you could really see that not only have they put their heart and soul both into the production and execution of the show, but also into firing up the imaginations of young audiences (as well as their adult companions!). We were practically grooving in our seats to the funky harmonies and saxophone jamming that really need to be given a mention in this, because they brought a whole other refreshing level to this show which made it great entertainment for all.

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales

The show is running throughout 2018 and is so delightful from start to finish plus very accessible at only one hour run time which is spot on for little wriggly people and perfect for ages three plus.
