3 things to do once Covid restrictions end!

If you’ve been avidly following the latest government updates, you’ll know that the Prime Minister issued a plan of action to get out of lockdown and ease COVID restrictions. Long story short, he’s claimed that by June 21st, all Covid restrictions end, meaning life can get somewhat back to normal – whatever ‘normal’ is anymore! Naturally, we have no idea if this promised land of coming out of lockldown will actually be the case, but it’s good to have a light at the end of the tunnel. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that the opening times at my local Santander bank will go back to normal!

So, why don’t you start planning for happier times and thinking about what you can do after Covid restrictions end? With keeping safe firmly in mind, here are three ideas you may want to try:

3 things to do once Covid restrictions end!

Host a private party

How many friends and family members have you been apart from over the last year or so? You’ve gone months without seeing the people you care about, so what better way to celebrate than by…well…celebrating! Plan a private party, inviting anyone you like, and it’s a chance for everyone to let their hair down and have fun.

If you wanted, you could go all out and rent a place like Clevedon Hall to host the party. Get your kid’s friends there too, so everyone can have fun and rejoicing in seeing one another once more. When the Covid restrictions end it’s definitely something to be celebrated in style!

Go to the cinema

The cinema is one of those things that you don’t realize you value it until it goes. No doubt you’ve uncovered many things like this over the various lockdowns, but going to the cinema with your family is such a special event. Buying the overpriced popcorn, settling into your seats in the dark room, watching all the cool adverts – it’s such an immersive experience.

Certainly, this is something that lots of people can’t wait to do as soon as lockdown restrictions end. It’s been incredibly weird not having any huge movie events in the last year, so expect a swarm of awesome films to come out very soon.

Go travelling!

Nobody really knows the rules on overseas travelling right now. It’s unlikely that overseas travel restrictions will be lifted by June 21st, mainly because it depends on other countries as well. If other places still have strict measures in place, you won’t be able to go anywhere. But, you should be able to travel around the UK, going on a staycation.

Once Covid restrictions end, it will feel amazing to actually be somewhere other than your home for a few days. Unless you were lucky enough to get away last year, you probably spent well over a year in and around your home. A journey to the shops is seen as going out, so enjoying a relaxing mini-holiday with your family is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Of course, you can probably create a list as long as the River Thames full of things to do as soon as Covid restrictions end. These three are my top picks, but you can comment with any of your own ideas below. Oh and remember, only do these things when it has been explicitly announced that the restrictions are over!
