The good news is that there are a number of quick and easy ways to transform a room which we have often used. Read on to find out what they are….

Move stuff about

Don’t underestimate the power of moving stuff around! The effect of repositioning sofas, accessories and artworks can be massive. Just the other day I literally moved a plant pot and some picture frames and our living room felt all nice and fresh again. So don’t be shy to have a reconfig if you’re feeling bored with a room…the small things can really make a difference and this is a super easy interior design trick to transform a room if ever there was one.

Switch up textiles

My personal favourite quick and easy way to transform a room has to be switching up cushion covers. I recently switched my cushion covers over to a fun tropical leaf print and I can not tell you the difference it made. Instantly everything became more fun and playful. So for Spring/Summer thing about toning things up with cushion covers and throws, but for Autumn/Winter it’s more about toning things down.

Create a feature wall

If the idea of painting or wallpapering a feature wall frightens the life out of you, then why not try something more temporary like vinyl stickers? Tenstickers have a fantastic range of wall stickers which are perfect for jazzing up a boring wall. Whether you want to sate your family’s wanderlust with a world map sticker in the living room or take your child’s bedroom from zero to hero something personalised, there is something for everyone.

Bring in some plants

What’s not to love about a bit of greenery in the home? A splash of nature really changes the energy of a room. Be sure to go for low maintenance plants which will bring you lots of happiness without the headache!

Make the most of the floor

We can really take floors for granted in a room, but an eye-popping feature floor could really transform a room in an instant. Instead of a rug which I find are just dust traps anyway, why not experiment with creating a fantastic focal point with a vinyl rug or floor sticker instead?

So there you have it! Transforming a room doesn’t have to be a daunting task. By simply rearranging furniture, switching up textiles, creating eye-catching feature walls with vinyl stickers, bringing in vibrant plants, and utilizing striking floor stickers, you can breathe new life into any space with ease. These quick and budget-friendly tricks allow you to inject personality and style into your home effortlessly. So, whether you’re looking to refresh your living room, bedroom, or any other space, remember that a little creativity and the right accessories can go a long way in achieving the perfect makeover. Explore the world of vinyl and wall stickers to unleash your imagination and create a home that truly reflects your unique style and personality.

I’ve also painted a feature wall in a different colour to the rest of the room. I was more satisfied with that than with the wallpaper, but I always think it looks a bit flat because, after all, it is just paint.

  3. I really like the idea of putting stickers or murals on a feature wall, with wording that is deep and meaningful for myself and any other people who see it when visiting.
