Chocolate can be a weakness for any mama like myself. There are so many different chocolates, ranging from melt-in-your-mouth to dark chocolate bars. Once in a while, we all need to indulge ourselves in the amazing products of the world’s best chocolate makers. Whether you have left over Easter chocolate, or just need a pick me up after dinner, you have many options to choose from. Today, we’ll go over some of the world’s best types of chocolate from various countries including the UK, Italy and Switzerland.

United Kingdom – Green and Blacks

Green & Black’s was founded on the Portobello Road by husband and wife team Craig Sams & Jo Fairley. In 1991 Craig was sent a sample of chocolate by a peanut supplier. Lifetime chocaholic Jo later discovered the chocolate unattended and promptly ate it. She’d never tasted anything quite like it and was sure other chocolate fanatics would feel the same!

Fast forward to today and this chocolate manufacturer is ethically sourced, organic and highly prized for its incredible flavour and complexity. Their Organic collection has won multiple awards at the Academy of Chocolate and Great Taste Awards and it’s no wonder why!

Italy – Gianduja Chocolate

Secondly, it’s no secret that Italy is home to some of the best chocolates in the world. Specifically, you must try the gianduja chocolate that is made with a toasted hazelnut powder.   4. I love Green and Black’s chocolate, which I’ve only recently been introduced to. Tastes so authentic, especially the white chocolate. Also love a box of Lily O’Brien’s as a treat.

  13. I love the G&B’s Organic Milk with Roasted Almond because the taste reminds me of my mum making fruit cake with almonds when I were little. When I came home from school that was the amazing smell that wafted in my face as I walked through the door! Fabulous memories!!
