Expectant mothers will often experience different symptoms, as every woman is different, and some can be rarer than others. Here are five lesser-known yet normal pregnancy symptoms you might experience.

Vision Changes

It might surprise you to learn that half of all pregnant women will experience some form of vision change. For example, expectant mothers in their third trimester might have blurred vision or dry eyes, which is often caused by hormonal changes. It is, however, essential to visit an eye doctor for an exam, as it could be connected to pregnancy complications.

Your vision changes could also be a coincidence during pregnancy, and you might require glasses or contact lenses. Don’t overlook the importance of good vision, as it can support your health and safety during pregnancy. A Heightened Sense of Smell

Attempt to wind your mind and body down before sleep by putting away screens an hour before bedtime, taking a soothing bath, reading a book and practising deep breathing or meditation.

A Metallic Taste

It is common for some women to experience a metallic taste in their mouth during pregnancy, which is a condition called dysgeusia that is caused by an increase in progesterone and oestrogen. Unfortunately, you might feel as if you have been chewing on old pennies all day, which can be rather unpleasant.
