Are you planning your next family holiday? Or are you dreading the inevitable research and stress that goes into finding somewhere that the whole family will love? Perhaps you have spent hours on google searching for the best family holiday destinations?
Then, thankfully, you’ve come the right place.
Here’s a list of the best family holiday destinations that provide the best holidays for kids and adults alike:
Algarve, Portugal
Only a three-hour flight away from the UK, Portugal’s Algarve has got it all going on. From gorgeous sandy beaches and water sports to great food and entertainment, there’s something to keep every family member busy and happy making it one of our top family holiday destinations
You can while away the days by the pool at your hotel, on the nearest beach or at one of the Algarve’s renowned water parks that aren’t too expensive to enter (around €20 for the day for the whole family).

San Diego, USA
This is quite a bit further to travel but if you fancy the holiday of a lifetime, San Diego could be the ideal choice – and one that’s more cost-effective than the likes of Florida, etc.
San Diego is incredibly child-friendly and offers a wealth of entertainment. You can get 50% of local attractions with the Go San Diego card which includes Legoland California, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and SeaWorld San Diego. Plus, the weather’s amazing!
Dubrovnik, Croatia
If you’d like to do some sightseeing and take a step back in time, Dubrovnik could be just what you’re looking for. There are loads of budget-friendly holidays to this part of Croatia and there’s not just the gorgeous old town to take in (which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by the way) but there are plenty of beaches to explore too, giving you the best of both worlds.
There’s also a 700-metre high cable car ride that takes you up into the hills, giving you jaw-dropping views of the surrounding islands and hills.
Got a Game of Thrones fan in the family? Then they’ll feel like they’ve walked onto the set as some of the series were filmed here.

Koh Samui, Thailand
Lastly, if you’re looking for a location that will really blow the entire family’s minds and give them a trip to remember, Koh Samui in Thailand is a must. It’s ideal for families and boasts those all-important beaches and water activities like snorkelling and kayaking.
Not only that but the hotels are pretty affordable, and if you want to splash out, villas with their own pools are a reasonable £100 per night.
