Parenting blogs which accept guest posts

Blogging advice, blogging tips, parenting blogger

As a blogger, a great way of getting your name out there, your writings in front of another audience and also to improve your SEO by having high quality links back to your site is to guest post on other relevant blogs. Most guest blog slots are found out on a “word of mouth” basis, or also very often, from a personal invitation – however that doesn’t mean to say they are not all open to those who want to share their writings. They usually are!

So I thought I would give a little helping hand to those wishing to guest blog, as well as those with guest blog slots who are looking for submissions by listing some guest blogging opportunities for parent bloggers in this newly updated post!

  1. Thanks for this list! I’m currently looking for opportunities to guest post at the moment actually. I’ve submitted a birth story to ‘Family Fever’, and I’ll check out a few of the others you’ve mentioned that are applicable to me πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks for sharing this information! I enjoy writing guest posts as it’s a chance to write things that you don’t want your friends/family who know of your blog to read about, LOL, just joking! I have bookmarked this page and will share.

  3. Wow, what a fabulous resource! I haven’t done much guest posting, it’s something I want to do more of this year. I owe you a post for your parenting series – I will get that done this month if you’re still interested. I’m going to start accepting guest posts on cuddle fairy – I’m working on a theme at the moment! x

  4. Such a great post to find new blogs and people taking guest posts. I’ve been meaning to pop one over the you for #beingamother for a while I’m just wracking my brains xx

  5. Ooh, this is so handy. I’ve just started a guest post series #TravelTimehop. I’d love it if you could include it here and take part when you have a mo. It’s about sharing the stories behind your favourite travel photos. Before or after kids, whatever takes your fancy. The link is on my home page x

  6. What a great resource! I’ve just started my series #behindthelinky…. All about linky hosts. I’m just finishing the questionnaire so hoping the first post will go live next week. My 5 things post will be with you today xx

  7. Great list, thank you! I always worry that my post wouldn’t be good enough which is why I never put myself forward, although I did do The Story of Us on What the Redhead Said. Would also like to start a series on my blog but I feel like I need to think of a theme!! Thanks for hosting #coolmumclub πŸ™‚

  8. Thanks for the list hon. I’m just starting to have a go at the odd guest post and I’ve loved it so far. It’s an honour to be able to share your writing with another bloggers hard earned readers.

  9. Oh so useful! Thank you. I really need to get better at approaching other blogs to see if they’ll have me. Pinned, shared and linked to on my blog for when I need it. (If I put in three places, I should be able find at least one of them, right?!)

  10. OO what a helpful post! I feel a little new and freshfaced (in blogging terms – not literally!) to guest blog but would love the opportunity – will keep a look out in the future for sure – and hopefully will have something to write about that others will actually want to read – always helps! Happy Thursday #coolmumclub

  11. So nice of you to share this list. I would love to guest post on some blogs but as you know, I either forget or run out of time. I have appointments coming out of my ears at the moment (it’s been a mad couple of years) but hopefully one day soon I will find the time to actually do this.

Thanks for this list and thanks for hosting #coolmumclub πŸ™‚

  14. Fab list! I havent seen one of these before. I’ve seen a few linky lists, but not a guest blog list – such a great idea! I may be reviving my guest blogging series and would love to add mine to it if I do. Let me know what I need to :-). Emily #Coolmumclub

  15. Great list, thanks for sharing. I’m hoping to put in a few submissions for guest posts this year, so bookmarking this and planning to use it well πŸ™‚

  16. That’s an impressive list! Thanks for collecting and sharing. I’ll just sit on the sidelines as a dad blogger for now but worth holding onto if I can convince my wife to start writing!

    #TheList

    • Well if you’re up for doing it #MyFiveThings is open to mum and dad bloggers and would love to have you on this – drop me an email if you’re interested!

  17. Hi Talya, i’ve got a new one to add to your list. The Husband Interviews. Its only been running for a couple of weeks, but I have had a good response so fsr and some excellent posts in the pipeline. Its not specifically for just husbands, its a chance for bloggers to ask anyone who knows them well (kids, wives, siblings etc) a series of questions about themselves so we get to know a little more about the bkogger from someone elses point of view. #Coolmumclub

  18. Thanks so much for posting this. Exactly what I need. I am looking for a guest blogger on my blog at the moment but I am also always looking to guest blog on other blogs #thelist

  20. I just came across your site, and I love it!
My daughter is still too small (6 months old), but I am always looking for things to do with her when she’s a bit older

  21. I recently discovered your site and I am loving it! The activities are great. I sense that I will be coming back to your site pretty often.
This is the information I was looking for.
    Thanks so much!

  22. Thank you for this great list of website that accept parenting guest posts. I love submitting guest posts to parenting websites to grow my readership and to gain quality links to my website.

I am going to enjoy going through these parenting blogs!

  23. Great list, I’m going to have to start working my way through them. I have a guest posting series about things we have gone through and come out the other side of as parents, whether potty training, sleepless nights, pnd, miscarriage, anything really. It’s about celebrating making it through and sharing your story, maybe even giving a few tips for others who may be experiencing it now. It’s called Tales From The Other Side Of … and runs as and when submissions come in. It would be great if you could add it your list. http://burnishedchaos.com/new-guest-posting-series-tales-from-the-other-side-of/

  24. This is so useful! I keep saying I’m going to do more guest posts but don’t know where to look. I also run a series called Flexi Mamas, which is about the barriers that working mums face. It’s running weekly at the moment and I’m always looking to hear stories from women who wanted to return to work but couldn’t due to childcare costs, lack of flexible working, etc, or women who did return to work but struggled. #coolmumclub

  25. What a great list! I host a working moms series where I have a set of questions I send out to working moms who would like to be featured. You don’t have to be a blogger, and you can work from home (I try to keep it to full time workers, but I’m flexible.) I provide a link to your blog or business and right now I’m hosting one a month. Thanks!

  26. Hi again – I recognise this old post having a revamp! I need to do a few more guest posts – maybe whilst ‘on a break’ from my own blog I’ll feel inspired!

Off the top of my head, Emma Island Living has The Mother Feminist, and Prabs has one about parenting balls ups – argh can’t remember what it’s called!

I should probably reinstate meet the members one day…so many new faces here at #coolmumclub! Have a fab break lovely and enjoy every Thursday of chillaxing! x

  27. This is such a great list for those who want exposure. I also have a weekly series called “A Picture Says A Thousand Words” where a photo is submitted with the story behind the photo i.e. first family holiday, Christmas photo, first childfree day etc. If you could add this to the list I’d be more than grateful!!
Thanks lovely – oh and also checked out your BBC News interview today – congrats on that!!! x

  28. Thanks for sharing this, I’d like to guest post some more.

I have a guest post series on my blog too: Pregnancy Comes In All Shapes And Sizes – birth stories. The frequency is as submissions come in x
