Are you considering redecorating your children’s bedroom and wondering what the best paint colours for your kids’ bedroom might be? Children’s bedrooms are the best place to be playful and daring with colour. Painting a child’s room is also a great opportunity to let your little one’s imagination go wild. Of course, it’s also important not to go too wild as your kid might grow out of it quickly (and that’s the last thing you want!).

I’ve put together some of my (and my kids’) favourite paint colours by Dulux. Whether you are painting a nursery or your little one has asked you to make their room a bit more “them” – choosing the right colours will be key! Read on to be inspired on the best pain colours for your kids’ bedroom….

Why Dulux?

I buy Dulux at Kent Blaxill, a local decorating centre. Not only is Dulux a British brand that has been creating beautiful paint colours since 1931, but this paint brand also offers one of the largest collections of colours of any paint brand in England. So, if you are looking for quality and a good selection of choices, Dulux is the way to go.

As Rock N Roller Baby shares, “Dulux’s story began in 1919 but it wasn’t until 1931 that the brand name “Dulux” was born, a combination of durable and luxury. Today, Dulux is a leading paint brand with thousands of colours to pick from.”

Best Dulux paint colours

It was difficult narrowing down the best paint colours but I think the kids and I have reached an agreement. Whether you have a boy, a girl or want to go gender neutral, these paint colours will work for everyone! You can choose to paint the whole room, paint a feature wall or simply paint some fun patterns – have fun with it!

Dulux Willow Tree

Dulux Willow Tree was used to create this jungle bedroom, perfect for the little explorers. Dulux Atmosphere, Dulux Enchanted Eden and Dulux Putting Green were also used to create this jungle-themed room.

Dulux Pepper Red

Create a whimsical bedroom with the help of Dulux Pepper Red, Dulux Banana Split and Dulux White Cotton. As Real Homes mentions, “If you are feeling adventurous, why not try a simple but effective theme like this circus-inspired room? It’s a really fun way to inject colour into a room, and the colour scheme will work for both boys and girls.”

Dulux Golden Sands

Golden Sands is a shade that will grow as your child grows – it’s bright but not too bright. Ideal for little ones and teenagers alike. This playful wall mural was complete with Dulux Blood Orange, Dulux Denim Drift and Dulux Jasmine White.

If you are looking for something else than Dulux – why not go Nordic? Simple Parenting recommends Tikkurila paint as her go-to paint. This leading Nordic paint brand makes excellent interior paint and even exterior paint.
