AD Silk’n Tightra: Fixing your vagina after birth with at-home vaginal rejuvenation

fertility declining

It’s an unspoken understanding between all women – the vagina after birth is never quite the same. I remember after I had my daughter, wondering what on earth had happened down there, frantically googling to see what people said about their vagina after birth. I stumbled across a forum of men smirking sarcastically about how their partner’s vaginas were now tighter than ever after birth.

Ha bloody ha.

We all know the truth though. The truth is that your vagina after birth is a far cry from what it used to be. We lose elasticity and sensitivity.

What’s the solution?

Obviously, there are in-clinic treatments where you can go for vaginal rejuvenation treatments, but they can be costly. Also as a busy mum, finding the time to actually get yourself down to a clinic for a course of treatment is a whole other problem when you don’t even have time to scratch your head.

But what if you could undergo treatment in the comfort of your own home for a fraction of the price? Now we’re talking.

Introducing the Silk’n Tightra

In the name of every mama who is currently lamenting the state of their vagina after birth, I was recently asked to test out the Silk’n Tightra. I was fairly lucky that my daughter’s birth had been relatively straightforward. So while I wasn’t in total pieces afterwards, I was keen to see what the Silk’n Tightra could do for me down there.

Silk'n Tightra

How does it work?

Silk’n Tightra uses clinically proven technology shrunk into a self-treatment device, to use in the comfort of your home. The device safely releases 360° uniform distribution of bipolar radiofrequency energy to the inner vaginal walls. Bipolar RF energy is famous for its tightening and firming effect on any collagen containing tissue. Silk’n Tightra employs this effect on your inner parts, tightening both the vaginal walls and the pelvic floor muscles.
It also rejuvenates on the outside for a more youthful-looking vagina

With its special design intended for self-use, the inner canal walls automatically receive an even distribution and exposure to bipolar RF energy, without having to rotate or move the device in and out.

Additionally, the three chrome plated electrodes at the tip of Silk’n Tightra are intended for external use on and between the outer tissue, for a more youthful appearance

Silk’n Tightra promises to do all the work in just a few treatments of 20 minutes each. And just for £309. Imagine what that could cost in a clinic!

My experience of the Silk’n Tightra

I’m about four weeks in so far and can already feel a difference. I feel like I have much better muscle control down there. The Silk’n Tightra is really easy to use, is totally pain free, and I love the fact that it is non-invasive. I’ve been using it the recommended twice a week before going to bed while reading a book – yes, it’s that non-invasive!

I love the fact it’s designed especially for safe and effective self-use at home, while giving results similar to those of professional RF equipment. Because you can do it on your own terms, and in your own time, it’s so easy and quick to do…plus there is 100% no embarrassment involved unlike perhaps if you were going for a treatment in-clinic.

I’m really looking forward to continuing with my course of treatment – most women see and feel results after eight treatments, and will continue to see improved results over the following weeks of treatments.

Are there any downsides?

When you first use the Silk’n Tightra, you will feel an intense warmth during use. You get used to this within the 20 minutes, but it did take me aback somewhat during the first use. But once you know what to expect in subsequent sessions, this really isn’t an issue at all.

Is the Silk’n Tightra right for you?

Silk’n Tightra is most commonly used by women who sense a loss in vaginal laxity and sensitivity – predominantly in women who have given birth and also ageing women during and after menopause. It can also be used by women who experience other common problems in this intimate region. Please be aware that Silk’n Tightra should not be used by pregnant women, men, children, teenagers and….virgins!

Would I recommend Silk’n Tightra?

Yes – 100%. I am no expert but I love the fact that it has made cutting edge technology available to the masses. It’s created by an incredible team of some of the brightest people in engineering and clinical affairs. So between that and my experience of use, for those who are looking to address the issues surrounding their vagina after birth as well as tone their pelvic floor, it’s definitely a solid option worth exploring. It has great potential not only for intimacy confidence, but also stamping out any mild accidents or incontinence you may have experienced due to weak pelvic floor muscles.

  1. I had 2 c sections however it’s good to know that there are good products out there to help women recover from a vaginal birth, well done for talking about the issue and raising awareness.

  2. Sounds like something that could help a lot of women. I had an episiotomy with both of mine, and my pelvic floor muscles are definitely not the same either.
