Want amazing skin? Introducing SkinGlo

*This is part a paid partnership with SkinGlo by Nutrivitality

I’m turning 40 this year, and well let’s just say that I have started noticing some changes in my skin! Sadly, when you reach the grand old age of 40, your skin doesn’t have the same healthy glow it had when you were 20 (which is when it starts losing collagen) – fact.

Now I know I shouldn’t be comparing myself to my younger self, but the fact remains: the skin of my face has started heading a little downwards. Uh oh!

Was this the beginning of the end? I wasn’t expecting amazing skin at this age, after all, it’s a known fact that after hitting 30, you lose 10% of the collagen in your skin meaning we are prone to lose vitality year by year. Yet surely something could be done to slow the slide? My cheeks were disappearing….fast. Eeeeeeek!

I knew I couldn’t rely on youth anymore – hell that went out the window a long time ago! I needed help. And so I taught myself how to do face yoga – yes it’s a thing (watch out for my video coming up soon) and do it religiously in the shower every morning. That helped to a degree, but then I discovered SkinGlo by Nutrivitality – and it was a total gamechanger.

What is SkinGlo?

SkinGlo collagen drink is a daily supplement from Nutrivitality – the experts behind some of the most innovative supplements in the world. It’s a trailblazing supplement that helps with the reversal in the appearance of fine lines, making way for a restoration of volume to the skin and brightening the appearance of complexions.

SkinGlo contains the highest quality hydrolysed Marine Collagen to strengthen skin, keeping it supple, glowing and firm. Marine Collagen is more easily digested, better absorbed by the body, and has an overall low allergy potential. B Vitamins contribute to a clearer, more radiant complexion, while Hyaluronic Acid helps to balance dry and oily skin types. It also contains Folic Acid to further aid skin firmness.

The supplement comes in handy single-dose sachets, providing you with an easy to take daily dose of the good stuff that your skin so desperately needs. You can either drink it straight out of the sachet (which is what I do because I love the taste of it) or add it to a cold drink if you prefer.

My experience of SkinGlo

Within a week of taking it, I could already notice the difference. My face started to look brighter and more radiant, the lines became fainter like they were slowly ebbing away altogether.

But then after a couple of weeks, I really started seeing the difference. My skin started feeling firmer and it looked visibly plumper. I thought – who is this person looking back at me in the mirror because I like her, a lot! I’m halfway through my three month supply and with each week my skin and my face in general just keeps getting visibly better.

Another area of improvement I hadn’t bargained for was my hair. Before taking the supplement my hair looked thin, dull and pretty lifeless. Now it’s incredibly voluminous, shiny and insanely healthy-looking. My hair has never been the same since I had my daughter (read: copious amounts of hair loss) so this was totally miraculous!

Both my skin and hair look so much more youthful and radiant, which is unheard of for me especially in the doldrums of Winter. But the upshot is this: it’s helped me feel so much more confident about myself. And that can only be a good thing can’t it?

I can’t wait to update you on the results again at the end of my three month supply. Stay tuned everybody!

What’s the cost?

At £94.99 for a month’s supply of SkinGlo, although this may seem steep at first look, I would say it’s definitely still worth the investment from what I’ve seen this far. If you think about all the other lotions and potions we spend our money on, then for me investing it in a quality supplement that has far better and longer-lasting results from the inside out makes more sense to me. It’s also a 100% less invasive option than cosmetic treatments that promise similar results.

  1. Wow! I’m on my early 40’s now, and take a lot of care of my sensitive skin. But I never thought about skin supplements. I will definitely try Skin Glow sometime. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  2. I need to start looking into some kind of skin care, in so bad when it comes to sticking to it and I have sensitive skin! I’ll keep these in mind. 🙂

  3. I keep seeing more and more information about the difference taking supplements can make to your skin – working on it from the inwards out! It’s fantastic that you saw a positive result 🙂

  4. In all honestly I didn’t even realise that you could get drinks for your skin. The product sounds great, it is something I would definitely be keen to try however I just could not afford that much per month on a skincare product. Interested to see the results at the end of the three month trial.

  5. I turned 40 last year and have seen a difference recently. I never really considered these sorts of things as thought they were a gimmick. But its good to know that they really work. Will have to reconsider as I could do with some help!
